TO SEA ESCAPE LIVE-ABOARD
Sea Escape is a 110 ft long aluminum vessel built originally by Camcraft as a supply boat for the oil fields in the Gulf of Mexico. Later, she was converted into a sport fishing liveaboard also in the Gulf, and recently purchased by Club Cantamar, relocated in Baja California and completely refurbished as a diving liveaboard serving two of the hottest dive spots in the world, Socorro Islands and Guadalupe Island with its Great White Sharks.

The largest member of the ray family, the manta looks like a giant bat. It has been known to leap out of the water, occasionally destroying small fishing boats.
The manta ray is found both inshore and offshore in the warmer oceans. Although mantas can be found on the seabed, they spend much of their time feeding near the ocean's surface. Large species of ray, such as the manta, tend to be solitary, although they are often accompanied by a shoal of pilot fish. While feeding, small and medium-sized species of ray may form shoals....

TV shows Producer Jeff Kurr along with a very experienced crew of underwater videographers and photographers leaded by worldwide known Chris Fallows (South Africa) and Mark Rackley were aboard SEA ESCAPE on assignment for Shark Week 2011.
According to the latest report, they got in 3 days of diving all the footage they wanted for several shows and more. Water conditions were extremely helpful, with visibility exceeding 80 ft and water temperature in the range of 65-70F, with 5 different Great Whites circling the boat at all times, behaving as only this apex predator can perform.
On the 5th day of diving, the weather got rough and forced an early return to Port, but only after 4 days of magnificent interaction with Mother Nature and fantastic meals served on the sun deck of SEA ESCAPE. The group was well integrated and chemistry worked beautifully with the crew in such a way that new friendships were firmly established.
